  2. The mission of Madonna University closely coincides with my personal goals for my education. I want an education from a Catholic perspective, along with the values and ideals of the Catholic faith. However, there is one difference between my mission and the mission of the university. I don't really care about diversity. Diversity in the workplace or in a physical area doesn't matter to me.

  3. In mention to the comment above, I am the exact opposite. Catholic perspectives and the ideals of the Catholic faith don't matter too much to me, but the diversity of the people I work with is immensely important to me. Recently I've realized how detached I can be from the rest of the world and its cultures, and I hope to change that as I grow older.

  4. Diversity is very important to me in the work place and in school. However even though I was raised on Catholic religion I am very open minded to other religious values and ideas. Diversity helps people understand other peoples points of view which is good for society.

  5. The mission statement for Madonna University focuses strongly on not only success in the classroom, but also explains that it pursues to instill a desire for "lifelong learning". I am going into a field that will require me to be open to constant learning. The mission statement indicates that Madonna University will assist in my decision making and critical thinking abilities which I will need to do well as a Veterinarian. In addition, Madonna University values diversity which allows for a wider range of learning. The one thing that does not matter to me is the strong affiliation with the Catholic Church since I am not Catholic. The addition of faith in general, though, is a good asset for morals, values, and character building.

  7. I was raised in the Catholic faith and have been at Catholic schools my whole life. So the religious part of the statement does not mean as much to me as much as the diversity. Most of my schools growing up did not have a broad range of diversity. Madonnas statement also infers to a life time of helping others which will be a key part of my life in the medical field.

  8. The mission statement is important to me because I was raised with the Catholic faith. My junior year of high school I lived in Germany and I was able to live and understand the European way of life and culture so I respect Madonna' s diversity factor. Already, I have been exposed to many different ways of life and with Madonna as my supporter I can't wait to see what the semester will bring.

  9. Madonna's mission statement applies to my education both inside and outside of a school environment. Within the school I feel comfortable knowing the the staff and faculty actually care about me and my success. Which makes this whole process a whole lot easier. Outside of school it reminds me to always have my values as the center of my life. By using my values as the center of my life and my education it will be easier to grow and succeed in my journey at Madonna.
